Summer visitor to north west india. A resident population in Kerala. Size - similar to Blue tailed bee eater. Easy ID points- Whitish forehead and supercilium bordered with turquoise. Upperparts and underparts are pure green with dark green tail. Yellow chin, restricted rufous patch on throat. Habitat: near ponds and waterbodies, Oftern perching on treetops, post or telegraph wires.
