Looks: Longer and slender bill than little cormorant. Breeding birds are bronze black above and black below. White tufts behind eye and white speckles on head and neck. Non-breeding birds have yellowish gular pouch and white throat, and has browner looking head and upper parts. Bluish green eyes are best feature to distinguish from Little cormorant. Sexes alike.
