Looks: Adult male has dark brown plumage with pale rufous head. Silvery grey wings and tail with black wing tips clearly visible in flight. Female chocolate brown in plumage with creamy crown, nape, chin and throat. Paler at base of underside of primaries and leading edge of wings at shoulder. Rounded tail helps to distinguish females from black kite. Lives: Marshes, paddyfields.
