Looks: Greyish brown upperparts with grey head, neck and breast. A black band on breast, remaining underparts are white. Yellow legs and bill with black tip. Pale red iris. In flight white tail with black band, black primaries and white secondaries visible. Juvenile has black iris, brown upper parts with fringes, brownish head and neck. Lacks breast band. Lives: wetlands, marshes, river banks.
