Looks like a miniature greater coucal in breeding plumage. But have a short stout black beak and dark eyes. Browner primary tips and dull chestnut mantle. Often shows buff streaking on scapulars and wing coverts. Non breeding birds have brownish upperparts heavily streaked with buff, barred rump And pale beak. Habitat : tall grasslands
